Question: What would you do if your child's music teacher was selling you used books for new prices!?
My daughter takes piano and at first the piano teacher gave her three books and provided a receipt for the purchase and I paid her for the books!. Now she (according to my daughter) takes the books out of her stockpile and charges me as if they were new!. These are books that have writing on them, are a bit crinkled etc!. They are obviously not new and have been used/enjoyed etc!. She charges what the preprinted price is on the book!. She says that she got them at the music store, she very well might have but that was probably 10 to 20 years ago!. This latest one says 'first grade' on it and my daughter is going into third!. I wasn't sure if 'first grade' meant in piano or what!. What would you do!? Ask for a receipt for the books in the future!? Let it be!? She is old and she is a sweet teacher!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

When you said "Let it Be" I got the Beatles song in my head!. Great song :)!.
Sorry, that was off-topic!.

Any who!.
First off, do you mind paying that much for the books!?
I, personally, would not; unless it is a completely outrageous price, because a musically talented child is a blessing in my eyes!.

If you do mind, you should talk to the teacher and find a solution to this problem!. You should inquire about the 'First Grade' book, and any other questions that you may have!.

Hope I help :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Firstly I would check if she is actually charging you new prices! Unfortunately Music is expensive! She may be selling them to you for the used price! Before you confront her about it I would check with some music stores both on line and in your area to see if they are still selling the book and how much it is worth! You don't want to accuse her of something that is not true! They may be worth ,now, what you are paying for them

I suppose you have two options! You can either ask her about it or leave it alone! Personally , as a Music teacher, I would rather things be out in the open! But If you really don't want to confront her maybe just ask her if you can buy the music yourself from now on! That would give you the option of shopping around!Www@QuestionHome@Com
