I suggest cover songs your familar with, and you would find easy learning quiete fast and easy!.

I'm personally in a band, so i recommend the bands,

Yeah Yeah Yeahs -Maps (good song to sing)
Kings Of Leon - On call (maybe older stuff is better)
Flyleaf - I'm so sick
Pat Benator - Hit me with your best shot
Foo Fighters - My Hero

Myspace search there music page websites and listen to the songs!.
