Chops and licks are the same things which can be fills or little lead parts in a solo or during the verse/song!. riffs are just little rhythms that are usually single notes or power chords, most rock songs are based around a riff, take "sleep now in the fire" by rage against the machines for example!. hooks are usually at the beginning of a song and are used to introduce the song or draw the listeners attention!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
