How do you get a perfect headshot?

Question: How do you get a perfect headshot!?

Hi there!. Your first head shots are going to be trial and error and will get better every time your uncle shoots you!. Accepted head shots of sometime back, used to be only black and white but that has modernized and changed!. Color is the new black and white for headshots!. also location shots are starting to take the place of the old studio looking pictures!. Find a pleasing location - park, pond, garden, etc and if they are just headshots, no one can tell where you are anyway!. You don't want to be in direct sun or in dappled light!.!.!. say under a tree where the sun is coming through!. Find a shadowed spot!. Accessories that your uncle might bring with him are a detachable flash, a reflector to put the catch lights in your eyes, either a 105mm portrait lens or a 70-210mm or 80-200mm zoom lens, a tripod for sure and a few bottles of water to keep both of you cool during the shoot!. If he is shooting with a digital camera, have him shoot at least 50 pictures giving you many to choose from!. If he is shoot with film!.!.!. take a couple of rolls!.

Soft lighting, and have the subject look to the light source for the most flattering shots!. Drop the chin slightly and look up at the camera with the eyes!.

Have the photographer fill the frame with the face!.

Plain backgrounds -- experiment with dark and light and shoot a LOT of shots of each!.

Take a ton of pics -- you can always delete the ones you don't like or need!.
