Question: What can I do for cheap lighting for my band!?
We don't play at huge venues (smaller to medium size bars), but we're also poor!. We should probably have something and borrowing isn't really an option!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

First thing is a strobe light and a flourescent light!. That is cool and when you wear light colors, they glow in the dark!.

Other than that, you can go a t walmart!. They have this cool cocktail neon light which we use in our band practice!. It is freaky!. We also have a big beer bottle with floating caps in it and it also lights up!.

Basically, for under $75 , we got a cool night club atmosphere when we practice and it is also good for live stage!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

There are a few options open to you; parcans on T-bar stands are always a good way to start!. The problem is often power - a lot of small-medium venues don't have a lot of power and lights draw quite a lot!. Plus they get hot, which can be very unpleasant! One option which is starting to become more and more popular is LED parcans; they're not hugely bright but if you point them at the audience they look nice, plus they don't get hot and they don't draw much power at all!. You'll also need some sort of controller - you can get foot-operated ones which may serve your purpose well, as you probably don't have a dedicated lighting tech!. Go over to www!.blue-room!.org!.uk and have a good search for "band lighting" - there's heaps and heaps of information over there which should give you some good ideas!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Christmas lights!? See if your parents have strings of them you can lay all over the floor (where you won't stomp all over them and break them - the club owners would not appreciate that)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

jungle inspired stage and have torches!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Reflective things!.!.!.maybe some cheap strobe lights or neon's!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
