Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
Play chords from the E major scale - E major, F# minor, etc!.

Practice patterns and transitioning between different boxes or scales in different parts of the neck!. Try especially to make it sound fluid - not just one riff after another!.

In E-majpr, you can play a 7th , 9th, maj!.7th, etc!.!.!.

To scale on E major, you can use the F#min scale or F#min9 as this is the same notes as a major scale 1 whole tone down!.

You can always scale on f major 7 as passing notes!. Inother words, start the first notes on E and play the F major scale going up and sliding to E major going down!.

You can also scale on E whole tone scale!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
