Question: When I play bass guitar, why do the tips of my fingers bleed underneath my callouses!?
This is slightly painful, yet there is no actual blood, Ive been playing for year, but it happens every once in a while, usually after intensely playing!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Even people who have played Bass for years have that problem!. Even my fingers are tender today because I played about 3 times as much as usual over the holiday and I'm just an old guitar picker!.!. with a full tummy of BBQ and beans!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

First, this isn"t fun!. What I recommend is to play everyday, even if it is 15 min!. only!. This should build the necessary callous!. I gather that you don't play regularly which accounts for this!.

Buy a smaller gauge string, lower the action!.!.!.!.this should help greatly!. also, try to get the half-round strings instead of the round wound or the flat wound!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Strange =/

I play 2-5 hours a day every day (sometimes with very intense songs) and the worse I've had was carpel tunnel syndrome!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
