Question: At what age can you start a baby/toddler on a musical instrument!?

It depends on the instrument!. if its percussion they learn it naturally because of pots and pans!. strings like violin I would start them around 3-4, and for woodwinds and brass I would start them around 9-10 years old because the lungs aren't fully developed when they are young!. hope that helpsWww@QuestionHome@Com

I started the piano at two, but my mother is a piano teacher, and it wasn't in the form of formal lessons, I had one of those early childhood piano books which made the whole thing fun! By the age of four a child is usually co-ordinated enough to start the recorder, which is an excellent starting point for other wind and brass instruments!. My sister started the violin at three, with the Suzuki method, and she wasn't unusual in that!. But you can always sing with your child from much earlier, which is a really great thing to do!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Prob any age!. I'd introduce the instrument to the baby and let it mess around with it and don't be too much of an enforcer but a teacher!. The more you let them be slightly free the more they'll love the hobby and the more you enforce, they'll reject!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

when they can start actually learning, around 4 but i wouldn't really count on it because it really depends on whether or not they are interested enough in the instrument to practice and their level of maturity!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
