The answer above about the amp is odd!. Ignore it!.

All of the other answers are generally on target!. Here's the likely possibilities:

1!. The guitar's action is too low and you are getting fret buzz!. Take it to the Guitar Center, tell them you bought it from them, and you want them to check to see if the action needs to be adjusted to get rid of fret buzz!.

or

2!. Your playing is producing the buzz!. If you're not a beginner, I apologize for the following advice - remember that you need to push the string down directly behind the fret and in such a way that your finger doesn't touch the other strings!. One exercise to deal with this is to play a chord with your left hand, and with your right hand pluck each note individually!. If you hear a buzz on any note, adjust your left hand until the buzz disappears!.

neck or fret issues most likley, take it to the shop where you bought it and they'll probabally fix it no cost, Oh wait I'll bet you bought one of those great deals on line, www!.weselljunk, where as expect to pay a guitar shop to fix it for you because after www got your money they want nothing to do with you,
sorry I've been trying to discorage people from buying guitars on line for quite some time now!. however you can try adjusting your truss rod on your own( the allen head screw eather under the little plate by the top nut or the base of the neck), but as you asked this Q take it to a shopWww@QuestionHome@Com

Acoustic or electric!?

If it's acoustic, then it's because you're holding the string down on the fret wrong!. Annoying, I know!. Happens to me almost every time I play, literally!.

If it's electric, I dunno lol!. It's way easier to fret on the electric!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

if it's electric!.!.!.the strings need to be replaced cuz dirt and grime get's all over the steel strings, and if it's acoustic, you need to get a firmer hold on the strings!.!.!.(and for electric, if changing the strings doesn't work, it's time for a new amp)Www@QuestionHome@Com

its because your action is too low!. this means the strings are too close to the fret board!. this can be delt with by adjusting the bridge or the nut!. go to a guitar shop so they can determine the best way for your guitarWww@QuestionHome@Com
