I was just wondering if the alto and tenor saxes have the same formation of keys and if like i wanted to play an F# on the alto i would press three keys with my left hand!. Would it be the same on the Tenor!. Because i kind of want to try it but i want to the differences besides size and soundsWww@QuestionHome@Com

all the saxes have the same key systems!. all notes are the same it's just adjusting to the different sizes!. like i started on tenor and had to do a duet on alto and had to adjust my breathing mostly!. on tenor you need A LOT more air for the lower notes and the embouchure is just a little more relaxed!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

although i play the trumpet i have a lot of experience with saxes!.!.!.!.everyone in my family plays!. Alto saxes are in the key of e flat, and tenors in the key of b flat!. as far as fingerings go, just look up a fingering chart onlineWww@QuestionHome@Com

All saxophones have the exact same fingerings!. Everything else is worked out by other people (writing music in a different key for them)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

All the sax fingerings are the same on all the sizes!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
