Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
most mid priced Jacksons and older Charvels have great thinner necks on them and generally made from better quality woods than Ibanez!. your PRS has a thicker fatter neck profile
it all depends on what you mean by faster
thrash!? progressive!? shred!? go to a store and try as many out as you can only you can know what feels right to what you want to doWww@QuestionHome@Com

Wow!.!.!.the guitar doesn not make the musician!. It's the other way around!.
But a Jackson 24 fret active electronic guitar!. I own a few guitars, an old Gibson 1963 Les Paul, Fenders, etc!.!.!.but my Jackson rocks!. It has a very sensitive fingerboard and you can actually play just with the left hand if your hammer-ons are powerful!.

PRS guitars are expensive, so it seems like money isnt really an object with you!. If this is true, I would look into Fender stratocasters!. They can play alot of shred type music and have fast necks for it!.

Go to a guitar website like musiciansfriend!.com and search for guitars that have high member ratings!. Then go to a local store and try them out for yourself!.

Good luckWww@QuestionHome@Com

Ibanez guitars are so expensive! But the sound is so crisp!. The sound of a les paul is too!.!. oldschool for me, don't like it much!. I absolutely love guys who play the guitar, and I have tried playing the guitar a few times!.!.!.but failed!. I guess I should stick to an acoustic :P

But I guess some GREAT sounding guitars would be an Ibanez, or a telecaster!. But those are really expensive!.

Hope you get what u want! ;)Www@QuestionHome@Com
