Prusa might be right, that its an equipment problem!. But the other possiblity is what the airlines call "pilot error" - LOL! Seriously, it sounds like you are a relatively new player, so make sure that you are pressing all the notes down successfully in the chord!.

Here's an exercise to help - finger the G chord with your left hand and with your right hand play each individual string one at a time!. If you hear a godawful buzzing on a string, adjust your left hand so that it goes away (press down firmly on the string directly behind the fret, with the finger not touching any other strings)!.

Another possiblity is that you are getting fret buzz from the action being set too low!. You would need to take the guitar into a repair technician to diagnose and deal with the problem!.

When you play a G chord you have the D, G, and B string played open!. Either of these three tuning pegs could be rattling!. Assuming your guitar is in tune and you play impeccably, I would check out which one of the tuning pegs is rattling!. If one of them is bad have it replaced and be more careful with the guitar!. This usually happens when the guitar falls over and lands on a peg!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
