Is this a trick question!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Put it this way, I have tried practically every guitar onthe market!. I used to fix and set guitars for Gibson, Fender, Takamine, Ovation etc!.!.!.

I own Gibson, Fender, Jackson etc!.!.!.!.

The Lespaul 1963 has a fat sound and very rock heavy!. I love my jackson be-cuz it has active electonics, 24 fret, and the arpeggios sound good on the high end!. it cries very easily also!.

Depending on your budget, Epiphone Les Paul is a great guitar, good tone and awesome fingerboard and dirt cheap!.

Another less expensive guitar is Fender Squier which , for the money is a more than good, starter combo pak!.

As for acoustics, Takamine is not expensive, very good sound and they also make good electric acoustics as well!.
Martin is alsoa good guitar but you cannot adjust the action because their is no truss rod and if you get a lemon, you have to pack it and send it pack and what not!. Ovation is also a good guitar if you can get used to holding it when oyu are sitting them!. Awkward at its best!.
Take your pickWww@QuestionHome@Com

I can only answer for acoustic guitars since that's all I know and play!.

Really good acoustic guitars start with the one-man-shop builders like Bob Benedetto, Jeff Traugott, Kevin Ryan, Jim Olson, Grit Laskin, Linda Manzer, Charles Fox and others!. These guitars are all in the $12,000 - $50,000 range!. There are probably more than a hundred other single builders who do not have the prominent reputation or the prices!.

Next are the small boutique shops like Santa Cruz, Collings, Goodall, Breedlove, Lowden, Huss & Dalton, and Froggy Bottom!. All of these have standard models but will build you one to order to your specifications!. These go from $3000 - $8000!.

Next are the large North American factory builders, Martin, Taylor, Gibson, and Larrivee!. Their guitars are still very good and range from $500 - $6000 for most models!.

Below that are the Asian-made guitars which vary in quality but there are still good ones out there!. $100 and up!.

In each of the categories above I'm missing lots of other good examples!. These were simply the first ones to come to mind!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

the one I'm playing when I'm not answering Q's, a min!. ago it was a d55 guild, and it was a good guitar, but in a few more beers it may be a bad guitar! and I'll have to spank her, then I'll break out the Ibanez pf and if she doesent behave I'll beat her like a drum!! and if she does I'll still beat her like a drum anyway, she likes it!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Personally, I like Gibson SGs!. However, I think this is because that is what I have always played!. I have also played LTDs that were awesome!. I don't like the feel of Strats but I like how Teles feel!. Both of those sound great but I prefer my SGs!. My friend Steve has a hot rodded no name that his Dad bought around 82 that is amazing!. It is all up to what you like and the sound you want!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
