Question: Are private guitar lessons recommended to learn fast, if so how many lessons per week is good!?

If you are advanced or not, one lesson a week!. When I used to teach advanced students, I gave them enough work for that week!.
The teacher should be able to judge you immediately after 10 minutes of chat and doing a few things on the guitar!.

If you are super fast, then take 2 lessons a week although personally, it'a a waste of money!.!. Whether I give you twice the work or you come twice a week, it is cheaper getting more to do !.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Learning is usually dependent on the student!. What type of student are you!?

For the general population private lessons do have their advantages!. Not only will individualized attention allow a teacher to recognize your specific problem areas, but when you start playing more advanced music you can tailor it to your style!.

One lesson per week should be adequate!. If you practice regularly then by the next week you should be well prepared for new material!. Remember, some weeks may be easy, but others may be more challenging!. More than once a week may be a bit too much, unless you do have a good amount of time between lessons to practice (for example, if all you're doing during summer break is learning guitar then go for it)!.

As mentioned, private lessons are best because they can be made your own! Talk to your teacher and come up with a plan!. Find easy songs that you'd like to learn, ask what songs are easy to learn within genres you like!. Once you play music you love you will _want_ to practice, which is the point, right!?

If you are a student talk to the teacher about student rates!. Another alternative to individual lessons or teaching yourself is group lessons!. Not quite as personalized, but it still may be better than working by yourself!. A group may help with accountability (they'll miss you if you don't show up!), and you may have others to practice with!.

Good luck, and enjoy!Www@QuestionHome@Com

One half hour a week is probably enough!.

More important than the number of lessons per week is the amount of time you spend practicing everyday between lessons!. Lessons are a great way to advance quickly because a good teacher can listen and watch you play and figure out what you're doing wrong and show you how to correct it!. A good teacher can lay out a lesson plan for you and figure out what you need to learn and when, and present it to you in a way that makes sense!.

But all of that coaching and lesson planning doesn't do any good if you don't practice between lessons!. That's the key!.

Edit: Oh, and playing VIDEO games like Rock Band or Guitar Hero will do absolutely NOTHING to help you learn to play a real guitar!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

(for real) play and master rock band(not gituar hero) on extreme it should help cause how the buttons are laid out(finger training) plus hand eye corrdination then do the rest by learning speed metal songs(start mid at first)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Perhaps you could start here and when you do take lessons you'd be ahead of the game!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
