I practice a hour a day somtimes two or until I'm satisfied i'm really dedicated to the violin it's somthing I've always wanted to do but I've started pretty late so how many years experience for the violin should I have to join a orchestra!?Www@QuestionHome@Com Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: it depends how good you are but probably 1-3 yearsWww@QuestionHome@Com DON'T DO SCHOOL MUSIC! I know you're homeschooled, but someone said that you should!. I just want to emphasize school music programs generally suck and you never get anything out of them AT ALL!. Half the kids don't practice or care!. I volunteered in one of them for a few years!. That was 45 minutes a week TOTALLY WASTED!. No one knows how to hold their instrument!. If I tried to correct somethingf (at that time, I had been playing for a few years and the instructor didn't know anything about the violin), people would get mad at me!. It really depends on the orchestra!. For most orchestras, they don't put people who've only just started with people who're at a Julliard playing level!. Look at the audition requirements for each orchestra in your area!. If the requirements look too hard, then you should wait to audition!. If the requirements seem around your level, then go for it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com well, it really depends on how good you are!. if you are really talented for playing for a month, than you could look into it, but realistically, you shouldn't for a few years until you are good enough to hold your own!. because, i kinda doubt you would want to be playing 3rd violin parts instead of 1st violin parts!. if it were me, i would wait a while, until you are confident, prepared to play in front of people, and play almost, no, always in tune also, i dont know what age group you would be in, being a beginner and 14!. some are only through 8th grade and have nothing afterwards, besides going into orchestra, if you make it in !. others probably have high school groups!. if you have any friends who play, ask for some tips and if they would be willing to help you!. *****make a video of yourself, post it on youtube, and see what comments you get that should give you an idea of how you are doing for a month and if you are ready to join someting OH ya, i was wondering, what are your goals with violin!? good luckWww@QuestionHome@Com you do seem dedicated!. I started doing orchestra at school a year after i began learning!. it is a great experience!. go somewhere like melbourne youth music (they'll allow people to enter in all different standards) and it is a great way to meet people!.Www@QuestionHome@Com I would get into orchestra at school!. There usually is a class for people who's skills are still developing!. You don't need a ton of experience, just the passion and dedication to keep working hard!.Www@QuestionHome@Com I don't know what's available in your area, but at any rate you should discuss this with your teacher!.
