Of course =)

It will take a lot of work, I warn you!. Most professional violinists begin at a younger age, however starting a bit later than many doesn't by any means imply that you can't go far with it!.

If you go to a public school, talk to one of your teachers to find out if they have an instrumental music program, as many students do!. If not, they may allow you to go to a different school in the area for an hour a day, in order to participate in their orchestra!.

If not, talk to your violin teacher!. He or she probably knows of a youth orchestra in the area!.

You won't be able to join an orchestra immediately!. It will take a lot of work and learning!. However, eventually the time will come!.

Until then, continue practicing!. I recommend half an hour to an hour and a half, in half hour intervals each!.

As for solos, those can begin even earlier than orchestra participation!. You should ask your teacher whether there are any youth solo competitions throughout the year in your area!.
