If you want to learn, just practice!. There are two I know of, there is the "Hi" vibrato (it looks like you are saying hi to your self) and the finger sliding vibrado!. I've been playing for 7 years and I can play some crazy stuff, but I can only do "Hi" which is not the best one to use!. It just comes to you, just shake your fingers like having a finger seizure, some get it faster then others!. As long as you got the sound your good, but it is better to have great tequniqueWww@QuestionHome@Com

I was learning vibrato after about 10 months or so!. Then again, I took to violin extremely quickly and had a teacher who expected a lot out of me!. I think usually you'll start to develop it after about a year or so!? One month is not very long, so I don't think you should be trying it yet!. You have to get the basics down before you can start onto harder techniques!. If I were you, I would not worry about it for a while!. Ask your teacher what he/she thinks about you working on it!. They know you, and can tell you better than anyone on the internet!.

It's really not something you can sit down and teach someone!.!.!. It seems weird, but I've found that you can sit someone down and show them the exercises to practice and have them watch other performers, and then you just have to practice it and develop it on your own, and find a style that works best for you!. I tend to use my whole arm from the elbow through my hand for vibrato, but you can do it with just your hand, or with your fingers!. Lots of different styles you can use!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

u dont need it after a month!. for one, you are not even playing pieces that would need it!. it is something that you kind of develop and grow in to over time!. i would wait for a few years, or when you are good, and are asked about learning it!. other than that, just dont worry about it!.

btw, dont compare yourself to people that have played longer than you, it just ruins your confidence, trust meWww@QuestionHome@Com

I started learning after about two years!.

Just so you know, she's playing at a level that's realistic for someone who's been playing for four years!. She must practice A LOT!. So don't get your hopes up about vibrato by the end of the year unless you practice for SEVERAL hours a day!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Omg, i still don't know how to do the freaking vibrato, i'm practicing though!. My teacher taught me the techniques a long time ago i don't remember when though!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
