out buying a book?

Question: How do I learn to play the guitar, w/out buying a book!?

Does anyone know any sites that offer printable sheets on learning to play the guitar (ACOUSTIC), because all I have is some lame book that like "Guitar for the small fry" lvl!.1!?

A great way to learn to improvise is to turn on the radio or even the TV and play along with any song or theme music that comes up, picking out notes that sound good with the music and stringing them together!. You'd be surprised at the progress you can make!.

You can learn what the notes and chords are named at any stage of practice, but knowing what they sound like, and what they sound good with, is a whole different ballgame!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

i learned to play guitar, acoustic on my own also and i found it helpful to watch videos on how chords were strummed i found a few on youtube that instructed you how to play and i also found it helpful to practice the finger techniques!. and soon i learned enough, from practicing, not even from a book that i was good enough to learn a simple song and i am now at the point that i can play anything, with practice!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

guitar tabs

Tabs are basically finger placement on the strings for songs!. you can learn songs and chords that way!. It is really helpful if you play by ear,and can't hear the difference between a C Maj and a C Minor!. most people that play by ear can find the root note,but have a hard time finding the 5ths 7ths and minor chords!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
