Does someone knows about drums and beats?

Question: Does someone knows about drums and beats!?

I was told by a drummer that a song has 2, 3, or 4 beat on them; I need to know if the song by Three Days Grace -Animal I Have Become is 2, 3 or 4!.!.!.!.!.!.!.I can't seem to hear the difference I find 2 and 4 the same sound!.!.!.!.!.!.!.clear a mud!? I am lost!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Animal is definitely 4/4!. Any time you can start bobbing your head to it, it is most likely 4/4!. Odd times like 3/4, 5/4, 7/4, etc, have a very "off" feel to them, like they never seem to quite line up!. 3/4 is cool, though, it can have an "off" feel, but in a way that is very flowing and smooth!.

A bunch of A Perfect Circle's songs are in 3/4, for instance!.

2 beats per measure really doesn't sound much different than 4/4!. Focus your counting on learning the difference between 4/4 and 3/4, then tackle more complex stuff later!.

I really have no idea what your talking about but it sounds like that guy might be talking about time signature!. That Three Days Grace song is probably in 4/4, most pop/rock songs are in 4/4!. That means there are 4 beats per measure!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.really basic stuff!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
