Yes, that's very normal!. What you need to is start out by just blowing into your head-joint!. When you start getting sound out of the head-joint more easily you can add the rest of the flute body!. Once you have the flute together start learning the notes one by one!. Don't worry, if you keep at it, you will most definitely go far!. ;)Www@QuestionHome@Com

hahah We have to play an instrument in school and I picked flute ive eben playing it for a month and i just started to get a really good song come out!.

The trick it go on the last note youve learned so far (F,Ef,D,C,Bf)
So if you do B flat and you just blow into it youll get a sound try to put it to your chine and twirl it around until you find the right spot on your lip!. If that makes sence!. It will all get easier trust me!Www@QuestionHome@Com

If you're a beginner than you're fine!. The flute uses the most air out of any instrument and it is extremely difficult to make a noise at first!.

However, if you find you don't like it, switch to tuba!. It's way better!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes mam! everyone who tries to play mine cant make a sound!. Just smile (mouth closed) and blow!. The more air you use, the better it sounds!. Buy an instructional book, thats how i learned how to play!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Its fine!. It takes a while to get enough air to support a noise!. It took me three monthes over a summer break to devolop lungs, and an amboushure, for a noiseWww@QuestionHome@Com
