Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Most people who study scripts do run throughs!. Get together with a friend and have them read the lines for the parts you are not doing!. Then you feed back your line!. Read it through a few times, then start with small scenes and begin to say your part without looking at the page!. Make up cue cards with your lines on them!. Put them in order and run through them when you aren't doing anything else!. Tape a rehearsal - leave out your part!. It is important to engage at least three areas of the brain at one time!. This encourages your brain to move the information you want to remember from short term memory, to long term memory!. That is the point when you should be able to make some progress!. Get as many senses involved as possible!. Don't just read it!. Write it out, tape it and recite it back, associate a particularly difficult line with a smell!. Eat many blueberries!. I can't explain it, but blueberries are one of the only known foods that have a substance in them that allows your brain to rebuild synapses in short term memory!. It can't hurt unless you are allergic to blueberries) and it is a delicious way to solve a problem!Www@QuestionHome@Com Try rewriting it a few times!. But before you do so !.!.!. sit still and relax breathe deep in and out for a few minutes clear you mind and relax one can not learn if one is panicked!. Then write it down few times slowly and with intention !.!.!. stop and take a break for a bit!. Go back and rewrite it again a few more times!. For the lines that are hard to remember !.!.!. make associations so that you remember the beginning words or letters!.!.!. Like make a funny story with the first letters of the lines!. for example if the song goes like this!. also helps to eat a little carbs when you want to learn!. You are sun light and I'm moon Joint by the gods of fortune!. Late night and high noon !.!. Make a sequence of story with Y,J and L like: You Jerk leave!!.!.!.!. and then you have a story of your own that is easy to remember!.!.!. this always helps to recall a lot of memorized material!. Good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com do you just read it without actually saying it!? if so!.!.!.i think actually saying it with emotions and stuff helps memorize it and when you think you sorta of memorized it(halfway or maybe even less) start trying to say your lines without looking at the script it's okay if you can't remember some stuff look at the script if you forgot a line or something then try saying your lines without looking at the script again and so on i find that this helps when i try to memorize stuff GOOD LUCK!Www@QuestionHome@Com i saw some NBC show that says if you match something you have to memorize to a mental picture, it helps out a lot!. So maybe match each line to a mental picture of what you'll be doing when you say that line; itll also help you with the stage directions!.Www@QuestionHome@Com |
