Some techniques a cello player may need are

3)You might try changing your stings every 3-4 months and see if there is a noticable difference!.
4) Minimize the tension on your bow when you play!.
5) If you are new to cello you can even put tape on the fret board!.

Make sure you are extending your fingers so you are not flat!. also, make sure you are using as much bow as possible if you are playing forte!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
