Question: Electric Guitar Frets Buzzing, Is it the strings!?
I recently bought my guitar, and it was working fine with the factory strings until i changed them out for some extra-light XL's and now I have buzzing on all my strings when I fret anywhere!. I took all the strings off before I put the new ones on and it sat un-stringed for only maybe 15 minutes!. I don't think the truss rods could have readjusted in a period of time that short, could it just be the strings!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

actually it prob is the truss rod, because U are now using lighter strings they are putting less tension on the neck, and now the rod is over tightened for the light strings and bowing the neck backwards ever so slightly!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

lighter guage strings are not pulling on your neck as hard so your neck might be more errect than it was with the factory strings so your strings are closer to the frets than before!. You might need to adjust the truss rod to compensate for the lighter strings!. also look and the way the strings are coming of the saddle down by your tremelo piece!. This is another area that might need some adjustment after a string change!. The tremelo unit might need to be tightened a little!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I suspect it's a combination of the tendancy for light strings to resonate more than harder strings!.!.!. and your technique!.!.!. because bad technique can show up other problems!.!.!. like buzzing frets!.!.!. If you learned to play guitar from a teacher, then your technique should be OK, but if you learned for FREE off the internet, then I think technique could certainly be part of the problemWww@QuestionHome@Com

it' could be the difference between !. nickle and copper wound strings, or some other metal used or the amounts etc
try using a ground lift that should cure it,

also when changing strings , change 1 at a time then frets and neck shouldn't tweak outta shape and your harmonics should stay true!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Try switching back to the factory strings to see if it still makes the buzzing!. It simply is the strings if the factory strings work fine, its the guitar if the factory strings do not work fine!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

might just be the action!. the new strings may be closer to the neck now and you may have to adjust the action of the guitar!. personally, i like DW stringsWww@QuestionHome@Com
