Used to play bassoon - should I take up oboe now?

Question: Used to play bassoon - should I take up oboe now!?

I used to play bassoon, but I'd love to take up oboe now - just for fun, that is!. I adore the sound of oboe, but I've never tried playing one!. Would it be a good idea, what with reeds being different sizes, different embouchures, etc!.
I play Irish whistle and recorder, so at least the fingers are being exercised!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
