okay!.!.
The difference between an acoustic guitar and an electric guitar is the fact that you HAVE to plug the electric into an amp or it won't sound good!. You can play the acoustic without an amp!. also the electric guitar generally has much lighter strings allowing for solos!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

An acoustic guitar relies on the soundbox to project the music!.
It can have nylon strings (Classical/Spanish) or steel strings (Folk, Country etc!.)
An electro-acoustic guitar is basically the same thing with a built-in pickup, tone and volume controls and a socket for a lead so that you can plug it in to an amplifier should you so wish!. They tend to mainly have steel strings, but you can get nylon strung ones as well!. Ovation make what are probably the best electro-acoustics!.
Sorry, can't help you on the Siverstone guitar, I've never heard of them!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

SKCave's advice is good, but a Silvertone guitar was among the few most inexpensive guitars of the 1930s!. Sears, Roebuck sold them and they, along with Kay guitars, were the most difficult to play because the string action was so high!.

Yet, many would-be guitarists had to initially settle for Silvertones and Kays because they were the only instruments available at an affordable price!.

Regardless its condition, a Sears Silvertone might draw a nice chunk of change for you because collectors want them!.

p!.s!. The Stella brand guitar was another el-cheapo instrument available to the lower-income people!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
