Question: What should I eat before a piano competition!?
I'm wondering if you have any suggestions for what would be a good meal to have shortly before performing at a piano competition (pretty intense/big deal/difficult pieces)!.

Do you think that what I eat will have any impact on the way that I play / my energy levels throughout!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Horowitz always ate Dover sole - and performed at 4 pm on Sundays only!. Eat a high-protein meal, but eat light!. No heavy carbs, no full-fat dairy!. No caffeine!! Stay warm - but do not use alcohol to GET warm!. Eat a banana - the potassium is well-known to help calm jittery nerves!.

Good luck - I hope you do well!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

haha!.!.!.food!.!.!. sorry! seriously, the best food for a strong performance is simply to be well rehearsed and ready!. Eat sensibly, not heavy, nor something that will make you burp (that can be distracting for you) other than that!.!.!. don't get hung up on a gimmick -carbs/sugars make you "crash"!. Be well rested the night before!. Eat normal!.!.!. if you are prone to a nervous stomach, eat lighter the last meal before then feast away after!!! Best of luck to you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
