Most people say acoustic, but that is mainly because they are uneducated!. It's just as easy to learn on acoustic or electric!. The real answer is pick that guitar you are more interested in it's type of music, so that you will want to practice!. guitar!.about!.com is a great site for beginners and its free!. Try to perfect your form from the beginning so that you will not develop bad habits, which are hard to correct!. After doing the first couple of lessons on guitar!.about!.com, some easy songs to learn are: smoke on the water, smells like teen spirit, back in black!. Good luck and if you need any additional help, feel free to message me!Www@QuestionHome@Com

if you start off acoustic, electric will be very easy for you later!. Acoustics are fun coz you can all hang about a campfire with them and stuff!. Classical guitars have a nice sound for that kinda thing!. If you wanna play harder stuff, get a steel stringed acoustic!. Don't start on electric coz if you want to start playing acoustic after, it's harder!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

unlike jesse r, i play guitar!.!.!. and i know that a strat isnt that cheap!. if i were you i would just go to a guitar shop, and pick up one of those packages with a starter electric guitar starter amp!. thats the best bang for you buck concitering you get all of the stuff with it!. if you went and you bought an electric guitar you would have to buy the amp and all of the supplies it soon comes out to 1000 bucks soon!. if you are starting electric thats what i would reccomend!. and if you are starting acoustic you cant buy a horrible starter guitar or else you will feel bad whenever you play it because it will sound horrible!. i would reccomend an art and lutherie!. good sound good price good quality!. (made in montreal)Www@QuestionHome@Com

probably a cheap/second hand acoustic!.
electric is expensive and you might not like playing once you start and you'll have wasted a load of money!.
warning: when you start, your fingers KILL after you practice but this stops after a bit!.
it's not so bad on electric, but as i said, they'r xpensive and not v loud w/o an amp!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

just buy a rubish wal-mart one!. there horrible, but it will last you until you have the fundimentals down!. then upgrade to something like an ibanez, les paul, something like that!. it will feel so nice and you will be able to play and sound better on it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Nylon string, acoustic guitar!. Get a good quality instrument with nice tone!. Ask someone who knows guitars to accompany you, to ensure the action is good!. Plan to spend $150 or more!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
