That means to play that string open without fretting a note!. This can occur on any strings!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You actually have more than one choice!. Example: 1st string, high E (0)!. Just string the string, or go to fret that would represent the E which would be 12!. The tabs that you are looking at are someone else's work!. You can always modify to your own personal preference!.

Looks to me like that tab is saying to strike that string open by itself another time, for accent!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
