the range on the recorder is not as broad as with a flute!. if you can find music to fit the range go for it!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You probably can with some transposition down the octave!. As it was mentioned, the range of the recorder isn't as broad as the flute!. The recorder only has about 2 1/2 octaves vs!. the 4 octaves (and then some) on flute!.

A good starting point would be to check out music from the baroque era or possibly reinassance!. If you have a sopranino recorder, you can play stuff like the vivaldi concerti,which is now often played on piccolo!. For recommendations on where to get recorder music, I would suggest checking out flutenet and early-flute groups on yahoo groups!. Someone on there should be able to point you into the right direction!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
