the ibanez rg120 is one of the best for begginers, with its killer looks and decent and well rounded pickups (made mostly for rock and metal though!.!.!.whaddya know!) i have this guitar, im an ibanez geek and this was my first it is absolutley amazing, the ppl that say its goes out of tune is somewhat correct, rule of thumb:dont bend that whammy bar crazy, that would be the reason why it goes out of tune, i know its metal to divebomb but to do it without getting out of tune, youll need to acqiure a double locking tremelo which itself is 200 if you buy it serperatley, so stick with this, be gentle to the whammy and you should be greatly satisfied, and this is perfect for your price range, the ibanez will last for 3-4 years with very good maintenence then youll need to take it to a luthier or guitar fixer,

its pickups are good, but for sure your going to have an urge to replace them for an even metaler sound, DONT, save up for a better guitar, its worth it, i have 5 ibanezs, each of them going up the ladder in quality and i am totally happy with themWww@QuestionHome@Com
