Drum Set Help!?

Question: Drum Set Help!!?

Can someone help me with my drumset!. It is a ludwig something some drum set,(can't help you there, sorry :/) My snare drum noise when I hit it has a (try your best here) "Oong" noise!. I want the noise to be more of a traditional noise!. Can someone help me get this noise!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

if it's giving you too much vibration or sounds loose which is maybe what it sounds like you are trying to explain, you could get some moon gels to place on it, otherwise a cheaper method would be to place a two inch strip of duct tape on the drum head!.!. that should help, if it is again still loose then try to put some paper toweling folded up under some duct tape, but moon gels work really well!.

two things you can try to adjust are the skins, top and bottom, basically taut, the other is to check the snare links and strainer and tension , main the strainer of loose, loosen tension adjust snare and re tighten,
~ also to eliminate if its loose skins, loosen snare and muffle each skin by hand while hitting with stick,
