Mandolins are tuned in perfect fifths, withe the same string set as the Violin!. It is a very easy instrument to get started on since many of the beginning chords require only two or three fingers to play!. It is also as challenging as you could ever want it to be!. I stuck a few links below to get you started!. Best of luck and I hope this helps!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

probably about a 7Www@QuestionHome@Com

I've been told that it's very similar to a guitar, but I've never played one!. It's in the guitar family and guitar is easy once you have the techniques down!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

easier than a guitarWww@QuestionHome@Com

All instruments are hard to play well; I wouldn't pick any one as easy street!. I'd say that mandolin is not tougher than guitar or cello or bass or any of the other stringed instruments I've played!. And it's easier to carry :-)Www@QuestionHome@Com

ANY musical instrument, especially stringed instruments mostly take PRACTICE,TIME, PATIENCE, PRACTICE and PRACTICEWww@QuestionHome@Com

Easier than a guitar in some ways as like someone else said alot of chords only use 2 fingers!. But you need to fret them quite well which can be difficult without practice since the strings come in sets of two (like a twelve string guitar)!. If youve got a good ear and can tremlo pick quite fast you should be able to pick it up quite well!. I always struggled with picking it up because i struggled to convert it in to songs I know!. Ive got a spare on your welcome to if you wantWww@QuestionHome@Com
