Question: What can you do to keep your lips from going numb when playing a brass instrument!?

every so often, you can just vibrate your lips, um, sort of like buzzing a really low note, only without your horn on your face, and that should help

some people also say chapstick helps, but thats not for me, so!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, as you practice your lips will stop that buzzing and numb feeling!. It just takes some time, thats all there is to it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Less pressure! There is no way, with a healthy embouchure, that your lips should be going "numb"!. Now, sometimes when I haven't been playing and am moving a lot of air, my face will get all tingly and twitchy!. But if you stop, that goes away, and it goes away with practice in any case!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
