Question: Is a 3 octave range good!?
I'm twelve years old(a girl) and an alto in my school's Advanced(Honor) Choir!. I used to be a soprano but my director says that i sound better as an alto!. I have a three octave range that is from a low C in the bass staff(still on the staff, not on a ledger line) to a high C above the treble staff(on a ledger line), and my range is stretching to a 3 and a half to a 4 octave range!. Is this a good thing!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

I would have loved to have had a 3 octave range at your age!. I have that now, and I've been training for 9 years!. Just be aware that as your voice matures, you might lose some of that range for awhile!. But if you don't push yourself too hard and allow these changes to happen naturally, you should be able to get the range back!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
No, you should have a 5 octive range like Mariah!.
Come on, do you need a pat on the back or a cookie
