Question: Supporting your vocal cords!?
okay, so my hubby has a musical performance this weekend, and he's just getting over being sick!. any tricks of the trade to help him get/keep his voice in good condition for the show!? thanks><Www@QuestionHome@Com

Lots of green tea(hot) with lemon and honey!. Keep up the vitamin C!. And do NOT let him talk on the phone!. Talking on the phone is very hard on the vocal chords!. NO dairy!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I agree with Kaiser in her answer!.
To get the chords flexible again, get him to humm, sliding his voice up an down (first a major third, then a fifth, then an octave)!. Sort of imitating what you do when you see a nice plate of food in from of you and you say "mmmmmm, delicious!" Use that kind of mmmmm!.
Lots of glissandi (that's the sliding up and down the scale)!.

And I really agree- no dairy! No ice cream, no whipped cream and no cheese! And be careful in regards to acidic juices like orange juice!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
