Hi,
I'm an avid clarinet player!.
My teachers always says to put chin lower and use warmer air!. They always say that we should use firm lips and such!.
Plus local band shops, should be able to give advice!.

I used to play clarinet and when I squeaked its either because my reed wasnt on right or cause it was dry or because i wasnt holding my mouth firmly enough!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Im not too sure on clarinets, but your local music shop should give you a free estimate!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

its the reed, its probably dry, and your not blowing correctly!. lick the reed to make it wet!. and just practice more to get the notes steadyWww@QuestionHome@Com

try and force more air through the clarinet when you play, used to happen to me too, but i pushed alot air into it when playingWww@QuestionHome@Com

Weak embrochure!. More, correct practice will eliminate the squeaking!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Shave your reed, see if your there now ! Good luck Horn player to another reed man!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I used to play the clarinet, and I would always squeak on the high notes!! I think because I either blew too soft or to hard!. Or opened my mouth to close to the bottom of the mouth piece!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Maybe you should try adjusting ur mouthWww@QuestionHome@Com
