How can I become an famous guitar player?

Question:I always want to become an famous guitar player, but I don't know how to. Only my idea is to apply the broadway show, but how? Please help!!!!

Get accepted into a college program with a major in guitar - there are some that specialize in classical, and some that specialize in popular music. That presupposes that you have a PRIVATE TEACHER with whom you take lessons, that can prepare you for the serious audition to get in. Work your butt off - graduate. If you were any good, your college teacher would then hook you up with some gigs - maybe the ones THEY cannot play. Little by little - slowly - you will build up a name for yourself, and start to make a steady income. Flash forward - 5 to 10 years later - you are well-known and respected. FAMOUS???? That's a little unrealistic, don't you think?

There is no way to *apply to a Broadway show* and think that somehow they will put you in it, and you will get famous. I do not know WHO told you that - but is seems to me that you should have someone who is TEACHING you that should help you learn to play well, and also teach you about the music business.

It's hard to become a "famoust guitar player"
You have to be in the right place at the right time
Be in the Right band and be extremely good

1. get a guitar
2. practice and become good
3. start a band with you as lead guitarist
4. play a few gigs
5. get signed and record an album
6. tour the world

You need to become the very best at playing and then others will know and sing your praises... but you need to PRACTICE, PRACTICE and PRACTICE for 5 or 10 years or more before you get to that point.

You are NOT going to become famous by learning how to play the guitar for FREE on the internet and just wishing you could become famous. Most of the really famous musicians I have known... and I've known a LOT... are usually surprised they became famous because they didn't start out to become famous... they started out to be a good musician and the fame followed because they had TALENT and they practiced it to perfection.

If your sole driving force for playing the guitar is to be famous... then you will FAIL.. miserably.
