Personally, I don't think it's a very good song for an audition--it's a good song, but a 14-year-old probably wouldn't be able to do it. I'm sorry if I sound mean--it's the last thing I wanna sound like. But you should try for something classic, like Many A New Day from Oklahoma!. Something like that. A song with a concept that's beyond 9th-10th grader comprehension (not that you don't understand it, but you're not going to kill your husband after he cheated on you.) probably won't work out so well. Also, there's more talking than singing in the song, which is something you should try to avoid. So good song, and you're in the right direction, but I would choose something more classic or fitting for a 14-year-old. HOWEVER, please DO NOT sing Cats, Phantom of the Opera, Les Mis...that kind of classic is oversung.

Try not to take this the wrong way. I'm just telling you what I think--if you think otherwise, go ahead with it!! No one's stopping you from doing what you want to do.

well if you like that song then i say go for it!! Just make sure you practice the song.

its ok but do you have anything else? i mean it will work. if your trying out for a singing class i would pick a song that would show off your voice more.
