Position:Home>Performing Arts> My acoustic guitar........?

Question:For experienced guitar players, my acoustic guitar has a buzzing sound on all strings played on the twelve fret. Everything else is fine, its just that twelve fret. My frined says that the fret may be "broken' but i dont know what that means. My other friend told me to adjust the truss rod, i know what that is but dont know if hes right. Ive had this guitar for about 2 years, its not the srings, and the nut is ok. What should i do?

Could be the truss rod needs adjusting, but do NOT try to do this yourself, since you have never attempted it. Take your guitar in to a local music store, and they will fix ya up!

Take it to a guitar shop, mine was doing the same thing. It should not cost over $20 to fix.

Same here. Idk tho, bring it to the shop or try to fix it.

Your intonation is off. If you play a harmonic at the twelfth fret and the note is not the same as when played open, it means your intonation is off. Any guitar shop that does repairs can fix it. They'll do what's called a reset and it is very inexpensive. Usually around $30 or so.
