Position:Home>Performing Arts> Were the beatles offered to play at Woodstock 1969.?

Question:According to wikipedia:

"The promoters contacted John Lennon, requesting The Beatles to perform. Lennon said that he couldn't get the Beatles, but offered to play with his Plastic Ono Band. The promoters turned him down."

Woodstock was August 15-18 of 1969. The Beatles were at that time recording their last album and then broke up on August 20, 1969.

Also, in the later part of their career, the Beatles didn't tour or perform live very much, and focused more on recording albums.
