How do you install guitar strap locks?

Question:i have a dean ml x and i was wondering hoe to install the strap lock
and i am getting a new strap what is the best? i have a levys it is good but it falls off the stump thing thx

How you install it depends on which one you purchase. It may even come with instructions. If not, just use Google to search for the one you purchased. Like this:

Check the instructions. Generally, you take a screwdriver and remove the existing strap buttons of your guitar. You then (i recommend) take the original screw and attach the new strap button (if the screw head fits through). Then attach the strap part to the ends of your strap and you're done.
