Do you prefer to play a silver or gold trumpet?

I'm sorry I don't play trumpet but I do prefer to hear a silver trumpet rather than gold. I just think that it has a better tone but as I already stated, I do not play trumpet.

i prefer to hear that old monet that wynton maesalis plays, (all the laquer is removed) ugly horn-great sound!
