Position:Home>Performing Arts> Acoustic Vs. Electric, which is better for a beginner?

Question:Hi everyone!
Well, here is the deal, I'm going to start to learn to play guitar and I was just wondering which is better an electric or acoustic guitar?
I will mostly be playing like Alternative Rock but I will also be playing Bachata, a Dominican type of music. Thanks for the help =]!

Start from the ground and build upwards. If you're gonna start learning, begin with an inexpensive acoustic guitar (since it can be played without an amplifier). That's just a safety precaution in case you encounter a lot of difficulty while learning to play (you won't have wasted a huge investment if things don't go as planned at first). But if you do okay with the acoustic, you can upgrade to better acoustic or electric guitars. The key is to become proficient with the early guitars you own/use, and then replace them with better equipment when you've made enough progress. If money allows, however, then you can afford to be flexible.

A lot of great electric guitarists started out with low-quality acoustic guitars, so don't be ashamed to have an acoustic as a starting instrument.

Electic. A good accoustic will run you real high, electic is smaller and you can run around while you play it. Eather is fine though I would do the electic. So you can use effects.

acoustic is always better for beginners. you might be tempted to go for an electric but if you do people tend to get sloppy habits. acoustic is much better and much clearer sound quality which helps beginners understand guitar playing better.

Electrice if you want rock

accostice if not
