it is better to take up a guitar lesson as a teacher would be able to teach you step by step.you would be able learn better in that sense rather than learning through dvds or computer games...you are not able to noe the basics...

Guitar lessons and the extra money is worth it. Its better to learn with a teacher cause dvds cant see how well your doing or your mistakes.

private guitar lessons are better to begin with, that's what i did. then i used the internet when i had little difficulties, because a teacher can tell you if you're doing something wrongly, but unfortunately dvd's etc . do not. So you might be doing the same mistake continuously and you may never improve.

All depends on your learning style. There are three primary: Kinetic (sp?) hands on interaction. Lecture. or Literature. Knowing what works best for you will be your answer

You won't be able to tell if you are doing something wrong but your teacher will see it immediately.

if you're doing something wrong, a TV isn't going to tell you, or correct you...
