Question:I love to sing and perform, but I really doubt my ability even though people tell me I'm good, I have hearing problems so I hear things out of key when they're not. Do you have any tips on how to get better because I really want to be a singer some day.

There was a story about a boy 90 percent deaf that had perfect pitch. So, if people tell you you're good, believe them. If you hear things off pitch in a consistent manner, you should be able to correct for it. That is, if you always hear them up a major third, have someone play things down by that much, so you will hear the correct pitch. Then learn to transpose in your mind.
