No. I learned to read music at 23. It's easy.

Check out this site that I learned about from YA.

www.musictheory.net

On Amazon, you should be able to find a book that teaches Music Theory in a kind of laid back format.

Good for you. My piano/voice instructor taught me how to read music in one lesson. To become faster requires time and persistence.

its never too late my friend! go for it.

No, I've seen a 50 year old learn to play the guitar. You just have to put effort into it... it can be done!

No, there is no reason why you can't learn, unless this is just not your thing. But seriously, even if it doesn't come easily to you, if you wanted it bad enough, you could still learn.

no, it is not. just consider it, as another language. you start with basics and continue to upper levels. also, it is really helpful, if you have a piano to practice-by reading it and listen toit parallel

Not at all!!!! I teach 50 and 60 year olds. They struggle with it a bit cos they've been out of learning mode for so long, but your probably still in learning mode at 21 if your in university or whatever. Even if your not, it's probably only a few years since you left high school is it? No, you'll be fine! Go for it! Good luck! :)

nope, you can learn no problem

At first, it will be frustrating looking at each note and trying to figure out what it is, but after a while, you will just look at a piece and start playing, the note names wont even go through your head anymore.

no, go for it. you'll love it ;)

I didn't learn to read music till along time after I started playing guitar. But, it's never to late to learn. Below is a link to a site that will get you started. It's all done with Macromedia Flash and you can actually download the entire site onto your computer or just learn online. It has music lessons and also exercises to practice reading. Hope that helps!

Good Luck

of course not! just get a teacher or friend or someone who can teach you the notes. Or watch the on episode of Punky Brewster where she learns how to play piano. :D
