Please Give ME the Best Advice Possible!?

Question:I want to be a singer but I can't sing for anything, so is there any way I can be a singer without taking voice lessons because I got no time for them because of my busy schedual.

Well, frequently I've sung to myself while driving--for example in 1972 in my VW microbus with no radio all the way to San Francisco...

But vocalists are the one kind of musician that needs a teacher. That's because you can't hear your own voice as others hear it, you hear it from bone conductivity while others hear it with air conductivity. You can assess the difference by listening to a recording of yourself.

You can get to be a decent singer by just learning the fundamentals of breath, placement, and production (which also needs a teacher, but only for maybe a dozen lessons) and then by singing whenever you can. But you'll be more the Jerry Garcia type of vocalist than the Robert Plant type of vocalist, a guy whose voice may be inoffensive but not really impressive.

obviouly you like music. take up an instrument maybe. unless your trying to impress a girl. then sorry i got nothing. maybe if you try some voice excercises. try vocalizing alot . sing to some of your favorite songs and try to fix your errors.

my friend would practice singing with books on her chest(laying down)
and start singing
this helps ur breathing better during songs and trains u to not breathe so loudly. . . .

try rapping

the way you can sing then is through an instrament....its the same thing..(kinda) cause your basically singing through it. Its making the noise and your putting the air through and doing the fingerings.
