Let's see - a lesbian is a female who is sexually attracted-to / involved with another female, but a thespian is an actor/actress.

I don't think there's any hard-and-fast rules about what causes either of those conditions.

A thespian is someone involved in the performing arts...a lesbian is a woman who wants to be with other women. Which is your sister? There's nothing wrong with being either, but there is a big difference between the two of them.

I think you made a typo and Yahoo Answers suggested the question gets posted in the Performing Arts board.

Don't be freaked out if your sister is a thesbian- that means she likes being involved in the theater....no harm in that.
However, if you just found out your sister is a lesbian and you are confused or shocked, you should probably talk to your sister about it so you don't feel awkward around her. Whether you support her decision or not, let her know that you still love her and are still there to support her.

Thesbian (thez-bee-an) - Women who love women who love the theatre.
