Position:Home>Performing Arts> Alto flutes?!?

Question:i've been looking at buying a third, better flute, paying for it by sellling my two gemeinhardts, one student, and one open hole b foot.

i was looking at the sonare 600, but i've been trying to decide if its worth it...
or should i get a pic or alto instead?
i'm a freshman now, junior year i have to play the pic, but the school provides them..

so, just want to know what you think..

piccolo, alto, or better open hole flute?

Honestly, I would say a better open hole flute.

I've never played the Sonare flutes, however - I did own a Sonare piccolo; the SP-500, and I absolutely loved it.

Really, I would recommend playing Jupiter. They make really high quality flutes.

Playing the alto flute really isn't worth it, as they are EXTREMELY expensive, and not many pieces of music call for them.

Good luck!

Get better an open hole flute..
