Question:will it effect sound?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: will it effect sound?

It will work fine. I was just playing my electric guitar through a really cheap bass amp this weekend. The sound wasn't great, but it will do the job.

yes, but do not try to use an electric guitar amp for a bass. it will ruin it

You can use a bass amplifier for an electric guitar, but don't use a guitar amplifier for a bass guitar -- you'll blow the amp.

It will affect the sound somewhat, but if you play with it you should be able to get a good sound out of it. If you want lots of distortion, turn the gain way up and use the master volume to control how loud you play (depending on the amp, it may have a "pre" and "post" channel -- turn the "pre" way up and use the "post" to control volume). If you use effects pedals or an effects processor, you'll have no problem -- and you might find that your guitar sound has a real beefy low end, which can be very cool.
